Remote Controlled Hammerhead: Savely Swimming with a (robot) beast
Jun 22, 2007 News

Were you always in awe of the ocean’s most dynamic creature? Always wondered what it would be like if you could capture its beauty from the comfort of your home? If your answer is yes to the above questions, then we must let you in on the remote controlled hammerhead shark. The era of creativity exemplified, trust this one to manoeuvre the sexy moves of the shark at its best.
Priced at $99 at Hammacher Schlemmer & Company, this one is the ideal gift for all those kids (and of course geeky grown-ups) who love the adventures of the sea. Sure, it might be nothing compared to experiencing the excitement of seeing a real shark, but what the heck, no one can tell the difference: Capable of swimming 40’ from the submersible remote unit, its head is designed to replicate a real hammerhead, and this intelligently crafted toy has orange and green working lights in each eye socket. Sweet!
Of course I’d prefer a Great White with retractable front row teeth and controllable bite force but I guess that’d cost more.
