The Electrobike Pi: Pimp my green ride
Oct 1, 2007 News
I’m sure that the dorky looking cycle that you see up there evokes a lot of reaction from you, but then again, it definitely is unique isn’t it? Unorthodox to the core, it’s just one of the great options when you want to choose a human/electric powered bike. This blindingly red undeniable spotable cycle “combines the lightweight portability of a bicycle with speed and self-propulsion more akin to a motorcycle as it includes a 36-volt pack of NiMH batteries that provide about one horsepower to the 58-pound device. There are claims that it can run at upto 46 miles an hour. Apparently a 2.5 to 3 hour charge, and you’re all set to go a 25-30 mile ride. While that might sound good; for $ 7,500 (which is the price), you can buy an actual bike that looks better and sports much more speed what say?
