The DocZac Enterprises, Inc.’s Handmaster plus is a wrist exercising product much like the other “stress relief” balls that you compulsively squeeze with the excuse that it is strengthening your wrists and thus improving your health. Aside from it’s funny name rife with innuendos, the Handmaster plus makes one improvement on the old model: The built in rubber finger web which provides resistance when opening your hands (Not to mention decreasing your chances of dropping the thing). This small improvement makes the Handmaster Plus worthy of it’s price tag. As you might have surmmised, I have a personal fetish with hand held exercisers. I’ve owned nearly hundreds of such devises and this one is the only one which ends up going out of the house with me on a regular basis.
It comes with an extra finger web and a 3D sticker of what you’re supposed t do with it.

The DMM Products manufacturered Gripmaster is an ubiquitous exercise product in the world of rock guitar players. It is sold like checkout stand tabloid magazines in guitar shops throughout the world. A subject of much mockery among muscians in the know, the Gripmaster has survied the test of time as a wrist exerciser which specifically (at least in appearance and rhetoric) addresses the finger muscles. I own the oldschool black one which is labeled “medium tension” and have spent many nervous hours fidgeting with it. On a cold night before going on stage, one can spend 5 minutes squeezing the hell out of the Gripmaster to loosen up your hands for performance.
The Gripmaster comes with a dauntingly comprehensive set of instructions and more reading material on the manufacturer’s web site about wrist health than most will ever care to know. It is simple and cheap and at least mine has never had any problems in several years of pretty regular usage and toting it about.
Some will argue that using devises such as the Gripmaster is an elaborate and pricey excuse to not actually practice your instrument but waste time sitting on the couch “strengthening your fingers”, but in the hands of a reasonably dedicated musician, it can be a great suppliment. But really, the truth is, in the playing field of a simple finger strengthening exercise devices, The Gripmaster has no real competition to date.
