online video content, today introduced a new ad format for online video<br />
advertising designed to enable video publishers to maximize revenue while<br />
protecting viewers from lengthy pre-roll video ads. The new format will<br />
also help online advertising networks sell lucrative video ad campaigns to<br />
clients without the need for building costly video infrastructure and<br />
employing unnecessary staff.</p>
<p>    The new format from Adap.tv utilizes pre-roll title cards that are<br />
five-to- seven-second ad units appearing immediately before a video. They<br />
can be static HTML ads, rich media ads or short video ads. With these<br />
pre-roll title cards, ad networks and brand marketers can turn standard<br />
300&#215;250 ad creative units into high impact, highly responsive video<br />
pre-rolls with no additional creative development. Website publishers<br />
benefit by earning pre-roll video-like CPM rates for a short seven<br />
second-maximum ad unit that most viewers easily accept.</p>

    SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ &#8212; Game Developer magazine&#8217;s<br />
highly-anticipated annual Top 20 Publishers report has debuted for 2008,<br />
revealing that publisher Nintendo, which last year unseated the<br />
long-dominant Electronic Arts, has maintained its top position on the<br />
chart. The countdown, which once again this year included a wide-ranging<br />
reputation survey alongside revenue, release count, average review, and<br />
anonymous partner feedback, sees the Kyoto-headquartered publisher&#8217;s<br />
extremely strong stable of first-party game releases for Wii and DS,<br />
alongside chart-topping reputation scores, again leaving it atop the chart.</p>
<p>    After Nintendo and EA, completing the top five are: Activision, keeping<br />
its #3 spot for the third year running; Ubisoft, which maintained last<br />
year&#8217;s impressive four-place surge; and Sony Computer Entertainment, which<br />
jumped into the top five thanks to an increased slate of titles, improving<br />
on a review record already higher than most, and maintaining positive<br />
relationships with its surveyed partners.</p>
<p>    Further down the chart, back on the list at #18 after a two-year<br />
absence is Codemasters, whose aggressive expansion and improving review<br />
scores helped the company secure its spot in the countdown, in the process<br />
displacing last year&#8217;s newly-ranked import game publisher Atlus.</p>
<p>    The 2008 rankings were calculated by considering number of releases by<br />
SKU, average review scores, and estimated publisher revenue from August<br />
2007 to July 2008. It also included the results of a survey conducted to<br />
gather opinions on the major video game software publishers.</p>
<p>    More than 300 industry professionals from all parts of the game<br />
production process were asked to give their opinions &#8212; including comments<br />
&#8211; on the reputations of each publisher in the survey. In addition, scores<br />
and commentary were gathered from respondents who had direct experience<br />
with the publishers in the recent past, either as workers or partners,<br />
including milestone, marketing and pay feedback.</p>

(NASDAQ:ERTS), announced today that Dead Space&trade;, the highly anticipated new survival horror game, has gone gold and will ship in North America on October 14 for the Xbox 360&reg; videogame and entertainment system and PLAYSTATION&reg;3 computer entertainment system. The PC version will ship on October 20. Dead Space will be in stores in Europe on October 24 for the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 system and the PC.</p>
<p>Players who buy the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 versions of the game within the first two weeks of the game&rsquo;s release will have the opportunity to download a platform exclusive suit. Xbox 360 fans can download the Xbox-themed Elite Suit* on Xbox LIVE&reg; Marketplace and PLAYSTATION 3 fans can download the PlayStation-themed Obsidian Suit* on the PLAYSTATION&reg;Network. Both of these suits will feature new looks and increased toughness and inventory slots, to help players fight for survival in the Dead Space universe.</p>
<p>In addition, for Xbox 360 owners in North America, the EA Store&trade; is offering a very limited run of 1000 copies of the Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition. This package contains a copy of the game, Dead Space Downfall Animated Movie on DVD, bonus content DVD, 97-page art book, the 160-page graphic novel (which combines all six issues of the Dead Space comics), exclusive lithograph illustrated and individually signed by Ben Templesmith, and an Ishimura crew patch, all sealed in a limited edition Dead Space packaging. The Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition can be ordered through the EA Store and will ship on October 14.</p>
<p>The bold and often bloody Dead Space promises to deliver the ultimate in psychological terror and gruesome cinematic action. Set in the cold blackness of deep space, the atmosphere in Dead Space is soaked with a feeling of tension, dread and sheer terror. In Dead Space, players step into the role of mining engineer Isaac Clarke, an ordinary man on a seemingly routine mission to fix the communications systems aboard a deep space mining ship.
